# Film Student Resources

Did you know that we have a location database that you can browse with thousands of locations in Oregon? If you find a location you want to use for a student project, send the location to our Project Manager, [Dallas Brown](mailto: Dallas@oregonfilm.org) who can help connect you. While we can't guarantee a location will be available in our database, we are here to help guide you to finding the best locations for your projects.

Have a permit question or any other questions regarding your student production? Reach out to our Project Manager, [Dallas Brown](mailto: dallas@oregonfilm.org).

Consider joining[OMPA](http://ompa.org) (Oregon Media Production Association) on a student membership for additional resources including, but not limited to, job postings and networking events in the local film community. The OMPA has a Friday “Jobs” email they send to their members as well as put together the state’s [Crew Directory](https://ompa.org/directory/). This is also true of [Desert Island Studios](https://www.desertislandstudiospdx.com/) who are a great resource for filmmakers and the filmmaking community.

We often place opportunities on the [jobs section](https://oregonconfluence.com/jobs/) of [our blog](https://oregonconfluence.com/).

In addition, we often see opportunities for work being posted on several FB groups like [Portland Film Community](https://www.facebook.com/groups/portlandfilmcommunity), [CrewUp Portland](https://www.facebook.com/groups/687990475005248), [Portland Film Collaboratio](https://www.facebook.com/groups/portlandfilmcollaboration)n, [Lane County Filmmakers](https://oregonfilm.org/article/film-student-resources/),  [POV Filmmakers](https://www.facebook.com/groups/povfilmmakers), [Film & Media Community of Oregon](https://www.facebook.com/groups/filmandmediacommunityoforegon) and [Portland Indie Film Networking](https://www.facebook.com/groups/pdxifne), amongst others. And there is also meet-ups, events and support from local festivals like [Klamath Film](http://klamathfilm.org), [BendFilm](http://bendfilm.org), [Ashland Independent Film Festival](http://ashlandfilm.org) and [Eastern Oregon Film Festival](https://www.eofilmfest.com/) in La Grande.
